Generation gap is the worst punishment of all. Why? Imagine spending a weekend with your parents (not bad), uncles, aunts (bad), and grandparents (worse). It can get even worse – caught All ALONE…

A nightmare. The tension builds up, pressure too, waiting for any moment to burst. For even the slightest thing arguments fly, fiery accusations, pointing fingers – your grandparents at the aunts, aunts at your parents and finally the vicious circle and by your parents pointing at you. A recipe for Disaster.

Things can never go smooth. But if you try and avoid a situation like this in the first place by hiding behind the computer or stuffing your i-pod to your ears even then they will figure out a way to call you disrespectful. And the accusations will not stop there; they have to abuse the entire generation to give them a sense of achievement. As if that were not enough a long winding flash back of how they grew up also needs to be discussed at the table. Though you try and reason out with them that the examples that they give are completely obsolete, they blame the time and at the end again you.

The solution – Is there one? It’s inevitable. Everyone at some point in life has to undergo this test of time. It’s the best to stay put and act nice. To avoid any future confrontations be ice and talk polite.

With all these I do admit that it’s fun to be around so many . After all they are family. Little tangy but little sweet.

I am no big art lover and I don’t have experience walking down the art galleries accompanied by people who can read art work and are capable of having discussions over it. I just happen to be a normal person who can appreciate the colour combinations. Nowadays modern art is dominating the traditional art styles. What do you like more is not the question. Let’s just see what is on each side.

Traditional art has always been more complicated. The art is learnt from teachers or rarely there have also been inert talented artists who adhere to strict rules with respect to the art. The colours don’t overplay, patterns are minimal and often these paintings capture live places or people and are seldom abstract.

The modern art however is more extreme in expression with various colours, depicting abstract patterns and also housing expressions and emotions which can sometimes bring up controversial discussions. Modern art can be interpreted differently by each person. It is also easy relatively not restricted to boundaries. Well at least for people who would like to bring their colourful thoughts on the canvas like me its easier

I hate this coming from me. But still admit it at some point in life we need to accept the philosophical side of us take over, at least for few mins. No I din’t see any bright flashes of light and I din’t hear any strange voices that guided me. This is just me listening to my little heart’s voice.

Just as everybody I have complained several times about me not getting the best in life. The well wishers say “Whatever happens is for a cause and that is also for the Good”. Guess what – seems it’s all true.

When you get what you wish for, you don’t wish for it anymore. You don’t long for it, simply put – it does not interest you anymore. But when you know its out there you long for it, work for it and it takes the shape of a desire in yourself. You in your subconscious life live with it. The pleasure derived is much better than living with it in real life.

In real life if it is in your reach, it can be a little dangerous. Up close things can turn nasty. But dreams are always pleasant. So whatever best that you have in life let go! At least the pleasures of it will still live on with you as visions or memories.

Never Let go by heart but let go in Real Life !

The famous Love story has been around for a long time but it was only 2 years ago that I stumbles over it. I have to admit that will be lying if I said I did shed tears that night , I was weeping the night I finished that book. It’s a small book you can like flip the pages in about say 2 days if you are not a regular book sorta person. But it’s a must read.

Love is one emotion that nobody is immune to. Dealing with that subject Segal states a simple story intertwining the lives of two complete strangers yet brought together by the true love for each other. The couple is in the prime of their youth that makes the story more scintillating. But he author describes the Love to be very delicate and the book is open to anybody above 10yrs of age.

The proposal is the cutest part. You would not have imagined anything like that. So unexpected but natural and practical. The Love settles down in a marriage. Jennifer is the most adorable character. And the girl’s father is an angel. She gives up her dreams to see her husband become a respectable New York law firm. The Ollie having problems with his family, how the girl presses him to pursue his dreams in spite of the stress, how she comes down with leukemia, how he deals with all this ….. is the story line.

The ending wretches my heart. Its not that I am not used to sad endings its how the last scene is dealt with so less said yet overwhelming with emotions. Just a small gesture from the father and he gets out and stands to take it all in and accept her parting him. I bet no one can read this book without a lump in the throat.

I barely skimmed through the last page. I was not under my control. I wanted to put the book down and not complete it but the it was as though she held on to me, but it was just the other way round I was holding on to the book waiting for the slightest of clues that she will get better. Love story is a small but a very powerful book. Generations pass but the reference they make to this book to state an example for love never dies. This book stands as a legendary example for Love and hurt. ( the unbreakable Pair).

Some believe that the world will end on December 2012 and this speculation was created by the popular movie “2012”. But many of us are left to conclusion whether it is true or false? Here are few reasons why people strongly believe the world will end

Recurrent disasters

We constantly hear about famines, floods, earthquakes, terrorist attacks, tsunamis, volcanic eruption, hurricanes and many more disasters around us. Many scholars feel that these are the signals which give a picture of the world end. Some few examples are recent Japan tsunami and Rio de Janeiro floods and mudslides.

Political unrest prevailing in many countries

It is evident as we see a lot of political unrest that is happening around us. Some of the most disturbing incidents among that are the Libyan Civil War, Egyptian revolution and Anti-Corruption Movement by Anna Hazare. In some parts of world political unrest is starting to boil and might lead to larger riot in the near future.

Mayan Calendar

Mayan civilisation is considered the oldest civilisation and according to the Mayan calculator, world is coming to an end in the year 2012. Mayan’s were considered to be intelligent as their prediction were true in many astrological sciences. Not only that, many scriptures speak about the world end – The Bible “Revelation” and even in the Hindu Mythology.

Global warming

Global warming is causing ice melt down in Antarctica and it has gone out of hands now. Constant treat was posted by many scientist before but those were unheeded and now it too late to regret about the ill effects of global warming. Due to this many coastal cities might submerge in the water as there is an increase in the water level.
