when you wake up from sleep all that you can remember are bits and pieces of your dream. dreams are hazy and difficult to recollect (not that we put much effort to reconstruct our dream)

But that’s all about to change . Maintaining a Dream dairy is the ‘In Thing’ now among the Youngsters. Right out of bed they head to the dream in half asleep state to record their dreams before it all vanishes . Few tell ” It will be fun to read it some time later in the future.” “It will be fun to read other’s dream diaries” giggles another . “Just see the pattern and study the dream and its origins” saythe others.

While the scientists state that recurring dreams are possible subconscious urges but the origins are still a mystery. Maintaining a dream book however will help the youngsters to gradually read their inner thoughts is their final word.

For study or just for fun I am going to post my Dreams as well!

Sweet dreams!

After finishing my college this was the first job that I got. But before that you need to clear the test to get into the actual kind of job and later you are considered as the perfect employee in that concern. BPO companies select candidates that are sound in English skills and accent. The latter thing is not considered to an extent as long as you speak fluently in English (boo).

Talking about the training session, it is the secondary part once you get selected. The training session started after a week from the time I was selected.

Before you go attend the interview, be confident on what you would talk and do memorize some topics by heart to speak when they ask you to talk on some topic to test your skills. I did the same, read some good topics and few points to discuss over there.

At first when I entered the room for interview, I could find around fifty people like me waiting in the same room. That was great at first sight but got nervous later when thought about the competition. Anyhow everything went well, gave my speech over a topic and finally my name was there in the selected candidates list. Ah…thank god (spoke to myself, didn’t realize what was waiting for me in future)

Very happy at heart and rejoiced as it was my first job. Next, they dragged us to sequence of rounds for further filter. All rounds were pretty easy, but the last one…. I was asked whether I would be comfortable working night shifts ( my eyes remained open for a while) No body told me it was a night shift job. But I agreed finally, convinced my parents too. Later my training sessions started with a big blash…………

Trainings were during night. God I lost my sleep and comfort at that training center. Will return home early morning (it wasn’t a problem as long as the cab was provided)

I learnt many things during the sessions; especially I was given a great opportunity to mold my English skills further over there. The biggest issue now was that “do I need to work night shifts” . Some said it would create problem health wise in future if I continue with the job. Proper eating habits and proper sleep is necessary if you are working in a BPO. All these things were taught to us. Finally you have your assessment test where you are made to talk to a foreign client and develop sequential conversation with that person. The person assesses your skills and fluency to assign you grades. The biggest drop down in your grades in this test would be when you don’t understand what they are speaking sometimes and you ask for a pardon (sometimes twice). It happens for some candidates but otherwise it’s all fine with sound candidates.

I missed a single grade with which I could have entered the BPO industry but I thank on the other side after knowing how difficult it would be to work at nights. The good thing is that I went through a training session that built my confidence further as it is a big concern where I was selected.

My training period was for about a month. I could really understand later why they pay so high in BPO companies. Its only because you are not gaining anything from the companies and for you its just a whole day conversation ( solving issues ) with the clients in US or UK.

I would suggest going for some companies from where your growth starts, where you learn something as years pass. But same time I won’t criticize BPO as for some people that is the best concern according to them. Hope you would make a proper choice before getting into some concern. Good luck.

I, being not in Chennai from childhood had never had the idea like what’s the plan all about residing here? Time ticked slowly but steadily with my thoughts and now my house is ready. We made it finally. We could have made it long back, but since the work of my dad insisted us to move around India, so hardly i visit here once a year. So we were like moving once in five years to different places. After my dads retirement, we got busy in our higher studies and my bro got into college. So it was difficult to think about building home at that time. But now with gods grace, i am here in my dream house after a lot of travelling. No doubt that we are going to enjoy the most. I have many plans in my mind regarding my home and will ask god to shower happiness like this always.

Today, something of that kind happened. I got ready for office in the morning and rode my bike to the railway station as usual, but the thing which happened after that was unusual. I saw a whole lot bunch of people changing platforms, but don’t know why. I was confused at first but later got the information that there is some problem in the electric cable which got cut unfortunately and thus affecting the train lines in a particular route.

Every person was waiting for the train which was supposed to come onto a different track, which was the only way for the trains now and for us too. After some time waiting on the platform, I heard a train horn, loud enough to move all passengers to jump over and you could see that happiness on their face that moment. People broke violent as the train calmed down, pushing and shouting at each other. I too got into train luckily. Thanks to those great people pushers.

I stood for an hour and finally got a place to rest myself. With that I thought I will reach office on time. But there came the twist. Train stopped at unusual places where you never expect it to, taking rest every two minutes at every stop. The great menace I have ever suffered till today. It took me three hours to reach. The trains didn’t move very fast and which finally awakened the animal which was sleeping beside me. I got frustrated and shouted at few people there. Everything seemed irritating like the cry of the baby, the talking of women and the horn of train (which never specified whether the train will move or not).

I could not take this situation lighter when I was made to sit for hours at a single place. This has made me to think of those Public service sectors which are not taking any immediate steps to clear the hectic problems that occur. You never want to be in that condition but you are put to that once you are known as the Public.
